Groomers Win Awards in Las Vegas

Four stylists from the La de’ Paws Grooming Salon won several awards at the “Super Zoo” Pet & Grooming Convention in Las Vegas.

Crystal O’Conner won 1st place in her division with her Wheaton Terrier. Renee Bloom won 2nd place in her intermediate division with a Standard Poodle and another 2nd place in the sporting class with an American Cocker Spaniel. Renee also won a group 3rd place.

Stephen Myers, Chelsea Barker and Crystal O’Conner competed in the Rescue Rodeo, which featured homeless dogs from Las Vegas animal shelters. This is a way to help dogs get adopted and the prize money is donated back to the shelters.

Hello, I am absolutely thrilled and excited to be working with the team at La de’ Paws. I have been in Corporate America for over 16 years in Human Resources and decided it was time to work in the area of my passion, animals! Thanks to Jeanie and Jay Tullis, I have the opportunity to come into an already successful business with an established team, credibility and brand recognition. I look forward to meeting all of you and to provide the great experience that you and your pets have come to know and appreciate.

Crystal O’ConnorHi my name is Crystal O’Connor. I am a local native of southern Utah. I have an extreme love for dogs and cats. I have spent most of my youth attending dog shows, delivering and raising puppies, and assisting my mother with group and private dog training classes. I know that the companionship shared with a dog is genuine. I absolutely love grooming, it is an everyday joy. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your bestfriend.

Stephan Meyers

Professional Certified Groomer, St. George

Stephan MeyersI started working at a nice little shop in Montrose, California while I was in High School. After graduating I moved to Salt Lake City where I took a two year break from grooming to see if I could find another job as rewarding as dog grooming. That task proved to be impossible for a dog lover such as myself. I now am living outside of St. George and working for the most impressive grooming salon in this wonderful town, La de’ Paws. The staff here is very friendly and caring of the pets in our care. Our knowledge is continuously growing as we work together keeping up with the most up-to-date styles and techniques.

I feel I have the greatest job in the world. I get to work with cats, dogs, and some of the friendliest people in town, Animal Lovers.
